We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Chip Sealing Foreman to join a well-established civil crew based in Rolleston. This is a full-time opportunity for an experienced leader in the roading industry who is ready to hit the ground running.
Start Date: ASAP Location: Rolleston and surrounding Canterbury regions Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (with occasional weekend/overtime work as required)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a chip sealing crew on-site to ensure daily operations run efficiently and safelyPlan, coordinate, and oversee chip sealing projects from preparation through to completion
Ensure quality control standards are met and maintained throughout the sealing process
Operate and monitor sealing equipment as required
Liaise with project managers, truck drivers, traffic management teams, and clients to ensure seamless workflow
Maintain accurate records of work completed, site activities, and crew performance
Conduct safety briefings, toolbox talks, and ensure all H&S procedures are followed
Provide hands-on training and support to team members as needed
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Chip Sealing Foreman or in a similar leadership role in the civil/roading sectorStrong knowledge of chip sealing techniques, equipment, and materials
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to read and interpret job specs and plans
